Purpose My A**

I get a headache every time I encounter the word "purpose." Even more so when stated in the interrogative form of "What’s my purpose here on Earth?"

It’s a question more than 16 years of matriculation fails to answer. And I find it quite  frustrating when I hear people say things like "The very first time I set my eyes on those cute little dancing shoes when I was still a toddler, I already knew I will be a great dancer someday!" Well, BOO YOU! I’m pretty sure you said that just for show!

Well, here’s my version of that: "The very first time I saw a Barbie doll, I already knew I’d be a girl someday." But I guess things didn’t quite work out the way I wanted them to be, unfortunately. @_@

Chicken Soup for the Soul - Moms and Sons - KenAvenue

Moving forward. For the past few days, I found myself roaming bookstores, between the aisles of "Self-Help" and "Inspirational Books." And half an hour later, I was blinking my eyes like mad trying to dry off the pool of tears in my eyes while reading the book "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Moms and Sons," — a big No No when you’re totally feeling homesick. But it was such a good read. I almost bought it, but decided to keep the money for something else.

Discover Your Passion - KenAvenue
Again, moving forward. This next book — I bet my life — falls under the ‘Self-Help’ section — "Discover Your Passion." Yet another book, page after page, was pushing me to board a red-eye flight back to Manila.
